Tips
- 4:5 portrait shows bigger in the feed than square or landscape.
- Keep text away from the top and bottom 250 px of stories — the app’s buttons cover them.
- The profile photo shows as a circle; keep the face centred.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The image is resized by your own browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is sent to our servers, which is why it also works on slow connections.
Does resizing remove location data (EXIF)?
Yes. The exported files are new images drawn from the pixels only, so GPS location, camera model and other EXIF metadata are not carried over.
Will the image be cropped?
With “Crop to fill” the image covers the whole frame and the edges outside the frame are cut. Choose which part to keep with the focus grid. With “Fit inside” nothing is cut and the empty space is filled with a blurred copy or a colour.
